Crystal Eadie Miller

Crystal has been formulating color, concepts, processes, texture and patterns in designed spaces, surfaces, and interiors for over 20 years, as a decorative painter/faux finisher. She added canvas art works to her repertoire ten years ago. She focuses on color, blending and developing impressions of images of things that inspire her. “I think challenge, inspiration and light coincides with almost every artwork I create. I am motivated by what a piece can become. When I lay up some metallic paint and metal leaf, it is exhilarating to see it take form. Sunrises, sunsets and soothing coastal waters are my favorite colorways. As a finisher artist I love to feel the paint and the colors during the process to create. I work with several different mediums, metallic plasters, paints, minerals, acrylic, oil, and with almost every piece I use gold, silver or copper metal leaf, which gives a natural element of light and edge.”

She continues her education in wall finishes to stay current with design trends, colors and styles. This adds another dimension of interest to her works and panel art finishing. Crystal has a home base studio in Summerfield, NC and is currently a working artist resident at The smART Kinston City Project Foundation during 2022-2023.
